I bought a large bottle of bay rum FO and I hate it! No one else really likes it either. I'm at a loss as what to do with it at this point. Its very, very piney with a slight orangy note. I don't smell any spice or anything "manly" about it, hubby thinks it smells like perfume.
Maybe there is something I can add to it to tone down the pine notes. I don't really want to use any citrus, I already have enough of those scents.

What about a woodsy scent like cedar or even sandalwood? It may not necessarily tone down the pine, but it may complement it nicely.

when i use it in my soaps i usually add any citrus scent and spice type scents as well , mainly clove . hope you find something to go with it
