Hello everyone. I happen to be making bathing soap using palm kernel oil and palm oil. However, my users are saying that it floats and in some instances, it breaks in water when it reduces.
How can I overcome this ?
Also what exfoliants can I use to give it a brown or dark Brown color ?

Why do you want a dark brown color? Are you adding a fragrance oil? If so, fragrance with a high vanillin content will cure as dark brown. This is Dragon’s Blood fragrance in a cured soap. I colored it with red mica and swirled gold mica through the bar for interest. The DB fragrance turned the red a gorgeous mahogany brown.

The only time I have soap that floats is when I incorporate extra air into the batter by over blending.
Ways to achieve brown colored soap are numberous. Using a fragrance with high vanillin, mica, oxides, cocoa powder, or strongly brewed coffee as the liquid in your recipe are just the ones I can think of quickly.
