Alright...gimme the lowdown on bath teas!?!?! lol

Whats the deal with these? I really want to make some... whats the best way to make/use them?

any ones a noob should try first??

anything on the list of DO NOT DO?

And would spearmint/peppermint herbs burn my manpart (cause Id rather drive a spike through my foot than have that happen)

You can package them in heat & seal tea bags for single use or put the tea straight into reusable muslin bags.

You can get the muslin bags & the heat & seals here: http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/sear ... rch&page=1

I would add something to bulk it up like oats or salt. That is just me though.

I would also add additionl fragrance. The tea will be very diluted in 20 gallons or so of water.

WSP sells assorted bath teas in bulk if you want to look at them as a guide.

Yes, you could mist the tea w/ EO or add EO to salt, let it all dry out well, before you package it, so it does not mold.

I've gotten them with instructions to make a strong tea with the bag just before the bath (I think it was 20 minutes in 4 cups of hot water) then add the whole shebang to the tub. Stronger that way, I guess.

Spose it'd depend what you DID with em Ian! oh haha....seriously tho,if it was just dried mint you'd be fine.A few drops of EO would be highly diluted, but peppermint eo is awefully potent so praps better not to risk it.

I use both in some of my bath teas with no issue, but you may want to shy away from adding the eo's to the bath water, esp. peppermint(good for a foot soak but tingles the rest of you.

Now if you need a good wake me up tea go for it lol.

oh and for packaging you might want to put not for consumption if you add FO or EO people can be odd. The Duh factor

Funny that is what I was thinking about when I packaged my last batch of tea and put soap in it!

I can see why she won who expects coffee to be boiling in the cup lol

I L-O-V-E Bath teas. I always made mine with epsom salts and herbs, that way you can scent the salts with essentials and get the most bang for your buck. You can get tea bags out there also. Large ones are best for the bath. There used to be this line called Goddess of the Bath and they had a great bath tea with mugwort...fabulous
