Hi everyone,

I tried the Bath Cookies tonight using the recipe with Flax Seed rather than egg. Not even a little bit impressed - I had to add more oil to get it to even start to stick and even then I couldn't get them into a ball shape without them crumbling. I decided to bake them and well - I think I'm going to change the name to Bath Rocks. :? They're grey (even though I did add ground lavender), didn't flatten out into cookies in anyone's imagination. After I baked most of the Batter (?) I added some more oil and then these last two I used a measuring spoon to get a shape that was nicer.

I think I'll try it one more time with eggs. Maybe that batter will be easier to shape.

Well I just tried these things in a bath - the only place they belong is in the garbage....I wonder what I did wrong.

Has anyone else tried this recipe with the Flax in place of the eggs? Did it work out for anyone?

Thanks!

cookies

I have made these in the past - and they NEVER turned out nice at all - I just gave up on them. I gave them to a few friends and they were not impressed so I just quit trying! Sorry..

Hi Puddin - yeah they really are disgusting and are now sitting happily in the garbage. Not something I want to try again that's for sure.

Hi Lindy,

I am so sorry these didn't work our for you - they seem like a great idea but I know after your experience I won't be trying them :?

Here is a link to a webpage with a different kind of recipe you may like to look at - Luscious Bath Truffle Melts. Aussie Soap Supplies test all their recipes before posting so it should work out if you want to have a go :)

COOKIES

I know what you mean... its very frustrating when you spend the time and money and things dont work.. but I did find other things to make - the new things I want to try are some bath melts - have heard nothing but wonderful things! If get any good ideas - please pass them this way. I have made some ornies, sachets, carpet freshener, and sink aroma freshener. If you want any info on those let me know - they all sell good for me. Its sometimes better when you can talk to someone who made something before trying - that is why I like to read on the sites info.
