Not from my laboratory I'm afraid.
I've tried different recipes. Low water, no water, cocoa butter, oils...no success.
I think it's the humidity.
I'll try again in winter.

lol
The cocoa butter ones came out ok but within a 1/2 hr were warty, they still work well enough but look a bit scary.I think I'll just break them into chunks, bottle em up,& everyone I know is getting fizzy bath crumblies for christmas!

I have only succeeded once and that was using rice bran oil and I believe mango butter. I will have to check my recipes because I truly forgot.

I have a few bombs sitting around from some early batches I made about 6-12 months ago which are amazingly still rock hard and un-warted (they're wrapped in cello). Almost all subsequent attempts have been failures. Very frustrating. I am sure I was using rice bran oil early on though so maybe that is the key?? Maybe certain oils are better than others? Sorry I can't be more help. I wasn't going to comment but then when pepperi mentioned the RBO I remembered I'd used that too.

just: Aaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!

i'm not an aussie, but i got frustrated yesterday - made 12 bombs in a row, and than the 13th one just wouldn't work. lucky that i'm not superstitious :)

does anyone have experience - could it be the clay? i tried adding water, oil, more mixture, new mold... only thing i'm thinking now is that it maybe could be the clay i used to color it :?:

Thinking about it more I remember using wheat flour instead of cornflour early on too. More variables... sorry :(

Im not even going to try again till winter, there's just too much moisture in the air thru spring/summer.
You made me think of the only time I saw snow! :) Nice memories
