bath bomb problem

I have been searching for the right bath bomb recipe and thought I'd found one online that didn't require witch hazel and huge amounts of spritzing.

Instead, I found this one:

1.5 cups baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1 teaspoon almond oil
fragrance
color

Mix baking soda and citric acid in a large bowl. Mix oil, fragrance and color in second bowl....add wet ingredients to dry, and pack firmly into molds.

The problem is that after more than 24 hours, they still have not dried out. They are still wet and crumbly.

Any suggestions about what I did wrong?

I don't know why your bath bombs are wet, but I just wanted to let you know that you don't haaaaaaave to use witch hazel, even if the recipe tells you to. You can use plain water and it works just the same. That's what I do since I never have witch hazel on hand, and my bath bombs have turned out fine!

Is it humid where you are? Maybe they just need more time to dry. Let us know how they turn out in another 24 hrs. You got me curious now!

not sure how exactly they would dry since the only wet thing is oil...
