Hello Friends,
Can anyone help me in regards to adding Cocamidopropyl betaine and Milk Powder to my mix ? Does anyone use these? I can’t seem to find anything useful in the Australian Forums

Cheers Hollie

Hello and welcome!! Please go to the introduction forum and tell us a bit about yourself.

I imagine you could use them both. Cocamidopropyl betaine in place of the oils/butters and just add milk powder as an extra ingredient. I've not personally added milk powder to mine but have it on my to do list. I use SLSA for bubbles.

I've added CocaBetaine (too lazy to type out the full name) and milk powder to some of my bath products. I've added the CocaBetaine to bubble scoops and didn't like the way they swelled up and look kind of puffy. And, honestly, I didn't find that it added anything to the finished scoops.

The batch of bombs that I used milk powder in looked amazing. I was really, really happy with them. I also used Epsom salt in the same batch. Then, that same afternoon, the humidity went from 40% to 100% (it started raining and rained all night). The bombs swelled and cracked to the point that I can't sell them. I attribute that to both additives, more so the Epsom salt but I think the milk powder also added to the issue.
