Im sure you have gotten this alot. but tips on the icing for the cupcakes. i used BB kit. what i think i did was no cream of tarter and i put too much oil in the (i think)

I had the same thing happen to me! I then found a YouTube video from Katie at royalty soaps that worked out beautifully! However, I then switched to using whipped soap and MP and glycerin because I wanted a little soap on top of my cupcake. Personal preference.
