Not sure if someone has asked this already but....

Is it possible to use a perfume as a fragrance? There are several BBW and VS sprays I have that I would like to re-create in to a soap. If it is not possible, doesn anyone know of a place or website that sells FOs that are re-created to smell like popular scents :?: Thanks!

The alcohol in the perfume will seize your soap.

Many fragrance oil suppliers carry duplicates of the most popular scents. Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret's scents are quite popular.

Go to www.fragranceoilfinder.com and click on the Duplications box at the top of the screen. There you can see all different lines and if you click on, say, Bath & Body Works, you will find a listing of all the various duplicates available. Just make sure the ones you buy are skin safe as not all are.

For B&BW dupes, I like Wholesale Supplies Plus and Nature's Garden. I'm not a big fan of VS so I can't really talk about their dupes.

Wow, thank you so much Vanessa. I have already found several "types", especially the air freshness that I have in my car that I have been wanting to duplicate as a soap

Save on Scents has good duplicates, but make sure to purchase the more concentrated fragrance oil.
