what thickness do you cut your ts soaps? I cut my regular bars at 1”, which i was thinking about going to 1.25.

cutting my ts loaf soon and i am not sure about the size. My other ts mold always looked wonky no matter what because of bowing, so i never got it down to a set size.

I cut my ts soaps last night and went with 1”. I think im settled on that size. I might try 1.25 for the next loaf, but i am leaning toward just 1” now that i cut it

I’ve been cutting all my soaps at 1.25” lately. It makes my T&S bars humongous though. At end of 4 week cure they are about 7oz. If I sold my soap I’d probably think about going back to 1”. I just like they way they feel in my hand at 1.25”. But I also made my T&S mold and I think it’s dimensions are bigger than most at 2.5” x 4.5”…so there’s that.

I keep my bar size as consistent as I can. I had a 3.5 x 2.5 loaf mold first, so even though my T&S mold would make a taller bar I still pour it to 3.5 (2.5 width). I cut at 1.25. If I made my T&S bars 4", I might cut them thinner. 4" is really too long for me, so I don't do it. For me, it's really just landscape vs. portrait, with the size being close to the same either way.

I cut one bar out of my loaf last night at 1.5, only because I apparently cant read a ruler LOL. It was meant to be 1.25. I ended up cutting .5" off of it because it was huge and looked odd.

My cutter cuts at 1.1" which is kind of odd. When I use the Nurture T/S wooden mold, which is 10 inches long, I get nine nicely sized bars and one which is a little skinny. I don't think anyone would notice if not comparing it to the other bars. But I notice, so the smaller bar I keep, and the others are given as gifts. Win/win, I guess.....:)
