Is there any way to test to see if a fragrance oil is B&B safe? A friend that I had told that I was starting to make soap gave me some fo, but because I didn't get them from somewhere that I can check to see if they are safe, I'm afraid to use them for soap. Any ideas?

I do not know of any way other than calling the manufacturer. There are a few dif grades of body safe fo's too.

Soap safe is good for rinse off applications like soap, body wash, etc.
Skin safe is safe for leave on applications like lotion & body mists as well as rinse off aplications.
Lip safe is safe for lips, leave on & rinse of applications.

I'm sorry to tell you but there is no way to test for it - you must ask the supplier. is there no label on the bottle?

even if it comes through your soaping ok you have no way of knowing it's skin safe. I'd not risk it.

what was your friend using the oils for?

No labels other than the name of the fragrance, not sure where she got them from, know she didn't use them- not the crafty or susie homemaker type. It's a shame that I can't find out cause they smell great. Guess I'll have to get some wax for candles.
