Argon Essential Oil

Hello. I ordered organic Argon Oil from Essential Depot and it says on the bottle that it has a "strong earthy smell". I opened it and there is absolutely no smell, whatsoever. What's the deal?

Argan is usually a base or carrier oil.

Oh so it's not actually for scent? I'm obviously new to this.

Argan Oil is a carrier oil not an essential oil. I use it in lotion bars and leave on products as it’s quite pricey. Doesn’t have much of a smell that I ever noticed.

OK thank you. Good to know. Now my daughter and I will have an additional oil to experiment with. Just have to get an essential oil for scent.

Unrefined argan oil does have a very peculiar scent to it, that some say reminds them of goat poop...

As others have said though, it is a carrier oil not an essential oil.
