Hi everyone! First of all, I'm portuguese and in order to make soaps, I always have to read things in english because there's more information in english and I don't always understand everything so I'm afraid now, looking at my soaps that I may have done something wrong!

Ok, so tell me what you think, they did not separate or had any kind of trouble i've read so far... the problem is, the one on the left ("pink" one) I unmould it only after 8hours.. and it looked like it had an even colour before.. and now it's like that.. the ones on the right, I'm not sure I reached trace in the top one, but it may also be that i did not mix the nuts properly after I poured them.. and the bottom... I have no idea.. I added honey... not all in the batch are like this, but some have this darker spot in the middle..
The three may have in common that I did not maintain them hot enough in the mould.. Is this a problem? or it's just a matter of letting them cure more time?
I followed recipes with 8% extra saponification and calculated water/milk, oils and lye for all of them...
thanks!

Hi Aniska! I'm relatively new too, so I probably wont be able to help you out much, but there are lots here that can. The thing that will help figure out any problems is for you to post the recipe that you used. There are lots of things that can go wrong and that's the best place to start.

The pink bar has what we call steric rivers, it just affects the looks, the soap is safe to use.

Not quite sure what is wrong with the top one, is it supposed to be one color? What kind of nuts did you add? I like the looks, its pretty.

The bottom one has what we call partial gel, meaning the soap got hotter in the middle It too is only affecting the looks, its safe to use.

Recipes

this was the recipe for the one's on the right..
http://offbeatandinspired.com/2013/01/12/honey-walnut-milk-soap/?_szp=271858

the one that has 2 colours I think, maybe I didn't get to trace... or maybe I didn't mix well thoe honey and nuts... because some of them are of more even colour...

but the one that got parcially gel has more honey and nuts.

the recipe for the pink one was
300gr olive oil
100 cocunut oil
100 palma oil
tea spoon of vitamin E
30 drops of cinnamon essential oil
Some dye that's supposed not to migrate and stuff... :)
