I want to make some gag gift soaps to give as gifts to some of my fabulous, saucy, irreverent coworkers...I want to title them "Blood of My Enemies", so I'm pretty much looking for a true, deep blood red mica. The problem is I've never made a red soap before and I'm more than slightly overwhelmed by the bajillion choices between vendors. I'm hoping someone has a recommendation for a bloody red mica that they love using and can chime in with a specific brand and name. I gel my soaps, if that is useful info. Thank you!

I've been making my own red for years using red oxide and a hot pick mixed together. I get a nice blood red. Unfortunately, if too much is used it does bleed a bit onto the washcloth but hasn't stained. I have some really red from Nuture but haven't used it as yet.

Really Red Mica from NS also works well. It is the red in both of these soaps. 20191118_160254.jpg
