Any of you try Carotino finest blend Canola oil / red Palm Fruit oil.

Anyone have try making soap using this type of red palm oil into soap? It says Natural and cholesterol free, rich in natural Carotenes (pro vitamin A), rich source of natural Vitamin E (tocotrienols and tocopherols), Contains natural Co- EnzymeQ10, High in monounsaturates, Made from the finest blend of Canola Oil and Red Palm Fruit oil, Excellent for cooking, baking and Delicious in Salads, No artificial colouringand preservatives, Free from harmful Trans Fatty Acid, Free from Chemical (Caustic soda) Refining.
This is my first time to try out substitute this to palm oil soap reciepe and can see the different color soap bar. 38% of this red palm into the soap I am using. Will be interesting later how this soap will become. Do comment if any of you have tried this oil. Cheers.

I love the yellow soap. Red palm oil gives true yellow in soap. Don’t use any fragrance oil that has vanillin with it though it turns brownish yellow, not a pretty color. It does stain molds though but I love it in soap.

ETA: Do you the percentage of Canola in the oil?

Many have tried it, most don't care for it. Seems to also have colored suds if too much is used. I personally don't use canola at all though some use it with good results in smaller amounts. It's one of those that are prone to causing DOS. It does make a pretty color though.

The second link suggests a percentage of 20% palm. Not sure where she found that number, as she doesn't give a reference or link.

I don't glean a lot of answers from any of these posts, but since it appears to be mostly Canola, I wouldn't use it as a palm replacement. The SAP values of Canola and Palm are enough that if you used the Palm SAP value for an oil that is 80% Canola, you could end up with lye heavy soap, depending on your recipe and other factors.

It didn't say how many percentages canola in it and really a bummer as I already make it and later found out others info. I saw some handmade soap at the shop making this type of soap for sale so why not try it. So far I did testing the soap on my hand to wash it and feels pretty good. This is the first bar I make and I adding tea Tree essential oil. Yes, it does stained the mold.

As the amounts of saturated Vs unsaturated fats in the two oils are quite different, you can look at the saturated-un saturated amounts on the product and see which one it is closer to. If you really want to work out the ratio of oils in the mix, get the maths head on and look at what ratios of oils would give you that end product fat ratio.
