I found this site last year when I became involved in making shave soap through one of the shaving forums.

Interesting stuff here, I'm glad to see that you all share information and help each other out.

Some of the trees are starting to turn ... supposed to get cold (relatively speaking) this weekend so maybe that will get things moving along.

The oak trees in my yard - they've been dropping acorns for the last 3 weeks. Looks like we're having a bumper crop this year. Sigh.

I'm not a member there, but I've read that particular thread several times over and over in my extra-curricular research of shave soap and found it to be extremely helpful and educational (and fun!). I absolutely loved the pioneering, experimental nature of the thread, and every now and again I re-visit it to see if any new posts have been added.

That was a very cool thread and (as I'm sure you read) where I got started making soap. IMO the most interesting/important part of that thread was TRBeck's research into shave soap formulation.
