So, seeing as the goal of making coconut soap was what got me in to soaping in the first place, and being inspired by the pics of scrummysuds awesome batch, here is my first successul purely coconut batch.

Not much to look at (but way better than my first two ugly batches, which were 100% EV coconut oil, blugh), but they turned out alright. This batch is 100% soaper's choice CO with a 20%'ish superfat.

Hope you don't mind me asking.. but what were your measurements for your soap? This is exactly the soap i want to make :D Thanks!!!

Thanks guys :) It lathers soooooooo well, and is already super hard even tho I batched it yesterday. I was worried it would be really drying but it's bad at all.

I used the brambleberry lye calculator. 1000g CO, 200g superfat, 330g water, and 178g lye (I think, you might want to go double check).

I used the crockpot hot pot method and added my superfat oils at the very end.

Oh yea, dragon, I didn't add any aroma. I'd like to scent it with coconut somehow, but I'd like to avoid using any synthetics such as fragrance oils, and there is no coconut essential oil that I know of.

The extra virgin CO i have smells lovely, so I might try to superfat with that on my next batch. I'm not sure how the scent will hold up, though, as it seems a bit delicate. :(
