So last night while my hubby was in town, I asked him to please pick up a jug of EVOO for me because I needed to make Carrot Calendula Castile soap today. I of course didn't check the purchase he made last night since he came in & put everything away while I was crocheting. Plus, he's picked up my supplies over the years dozens of times so I thought I had nothing to worry about.

Fast forward to today when I've got my pureed carrots all cooled off, my calendula infused oil all ready to go & pulling out all my soaping stuff.
I go to pull out the olive oil & there's none in my soaping cabinet. Hmm...weird. So I call my hubby to ask him where he put it. He tells me it's up in our kitchen cupboard. I was very confused at this point, because I couldn't figure out how something that big would fit in our upper cupboards. I look & look, only to find a 7 oz bottle of olive oil.

I love him, but sometimes I really wonder about him.

Oh no! Next time you're going to have to be a little more specific with your request when you ask him to pick up oil. Did you have to run out and buy some EVOO so you could finish your batch?

Yep, I had to drag the little ones & one sick child out into freezing cold weather. My thermometer reads 14 degrees, but it felt closer to zero.
My husband paid $7 for that little bottle. I go to the same store & find that they have 51 oz on sale for $10. But then because we have a rewards card for that store, I get .20 off a gallon of gas just for purchasing that. :)

I think there is a lesson in here somewhere.

I'm sorry you had to drag your kids out in the cold and I hope the sick one is feeling better soon.

I'm always surprised when mine comes back with even half of the correct items on the shopping list

Sometimes I find it helpful to have a show & tell. Here is the empty one......please bring me one that looks like this, that is full. Please and thankyou....hehehe.

You would be surprised that does make it easier. But if the labels have changed no guarantees!

If it isn't hot dogs & cheese, he usually has no idea what I'm talking about so I usually tell him the exact name, brand, size, etc. Last week I asked him to get a plastic container of Nestle Baking Cocoa and a small bottle of Kemps 1/2 & 1/2.
He comes home with Swiss Miss Hot Chocolate with marshmallows & a quart of ice cream.

If we didn't live about 15 miles from the nearest store, I'd go get the stuff myself. But usually he buys the stuff on his way home from work to save on gas.

Mine enters my list into his phone if there's more than 1 item
