This looks like a great forum!

My name is Aline and I make mainly Hawaiian-themed soaps, lotions and perfumes (working on scrubs). I am a little embarrassed to say that I only use M & P. Would love to get into Cold Process but I don't currently have time for the learning curve (or space to store). But I am in total admiration of those who have mastered it......and a little jealous :). I do make my own lotion however.

I was an aromatherapist when I lived in the UK but got into using FO's when I came to Hawaii because that is the only way to replicate the Hawaiian floral scents. I create scent blends using FO's combined with some aroma chemicals and EO's.

Looking forward to getting to know folks here :)

Much aloha,
Aline

Welcome Aline, glad you can join us, have a go at CP it's not that hard or time consuming, you might be surprised. Would love to go to Hawaii, one day soon I hope.

Hi Aline.
Welcome to the forum. I hail from Oregon, but I just got back a few months ago from living in Hawaii for a year. It's nice to know there is an aromatherapist here in the forum whose brain we can pick :) There are plenty of m & p soap makers here as well as cold process, hot process, etc. etc.- no need to be embarrassed. Glad to meet you!
Cheers!
Anna Marie

welcome, i second the gladness that there is an aromatherapist's experience that we can learn from. What i wouldnt give to be in Hawaii right now.... I am from texas originally, and believe it or not, texas is actually very green. Now i live in the high mountain desert of colorado. It does have its own beauty, but i sure do miss GREEN :) and the ability to grow anything with minimal effort. :) Welcome!

Hawaii is very popular this time of year :) Everything is very green here too - even the 'desert' parts of the island have had plenty of rain this year. I never thought of Texas as green....

My mother is called Aline and I have never met another one spelt the same way. Hello :)
Aloha Saponista, I see you are from the UK too (I am originally from the Cotswolds).
I only met one other Aline in England and unbelievably she ran the Post Office in the village I was brought up in. She couldn't believe it when she saw my PO book. It was very disturbing after thinking I was the only one in the world :) (no internet back then). I did meet a Swiss Aline in Maui however. Hopefully she has gone now! LOL.
Say hello to your Mum from me!

Glad to meet you too Anna Marie! Where did you live in Hawaii??

On the island of Oahu in the Hawaii Kai area. I've been to Oahu, the big island, and Kauai (did I spell that right:?:, but not Maui yet. I hear Maui is great.
