Hello!
Has anybody used almond butter that is used for consumption vs the one that is cosmetic grade? is there a difference? I love Lush's body butter (not technically a soap of course) and they say that they use almond butter, but I wonder which one it could be. has anyone succesfully made a soap or body butter bar with edible almond butter?:eh:

Almond butter that is for eating is like peanut butter, its a paste made from the ground nut. Almond butter for cosmetics is simply a soybean oil and almond oil mix. Have you tried a shea body butter? Its so much better then almond butter.

Hi! I have tried shea but the smell is a little too strong for me. Maybe its the type of shea i use? The raw kind they sell at whole foods?...

You can get refined Shea that has almost no scent. I use refined in my body butters and scrubs so that the scent doesn't interfere with any added fragrance oils that are added.
