Wonderful. The color is so beautiful even though it's slightly different than the color I know, maybe I'll just wait for your next update.
Do you think you'll make more batches with different percentage by the time this batch is cured?

Thanks, hud. What color are you used to? More brownish? I think that happens as it ages and oxidizes. What scent do your bars have? This was almost a smokey scent like a campfire.
I tried some leftover soap today and it was a bit dry to me, so I'm going to try one with 30% laurel next.
Hi smeetree, I think I'd rather wait on the color until they age, you are right. The smell was a combination of olive oil and laurel oil. I don't know how to describe I just say it's marvelous.
That's what I was shooting for. We will see if that actually happens. So far I feel optimistic because the color looks just about right.
I also read that you can tell the age of the soap due to how deep inside the brown oxidation goes. So if it's a thin layer like in the photo above it's a young aleppo soap. If the bar is brown throughout it's very old.
