Hello,
So I am completly new to this. Just gathering supplies to make my first batch now, waiting for them to arrive. I have a billion questions and am loving this forum. It seems like the possiablities are endless..
This is the basic recipe I plan to start with from SoapLove.
Palm oil – 8 oz
Coconut oil – 6 oz
Olive oil – 6 oz
Shea butter – 1 oz
Castor oil – 1 oz

One question I have is about additives. If I wanted a coffee scrub bar could I just use coffee instead of water and add some grounds at trace? Is it really that easy? Does using different liquids like coffee, tea or milk change anything?

Thanks everyone so much for any insight.
Bobbie

I have never done coffee but I have used green tea which once did really accelerate on me. I don't think coffee accelerates so you are probally safe but milk especially butterfat milk such as goats milk and butter milk can really heat up and accelerate depending on your temps. I think if you keep your temps low(85-90) regardless you should be okay.

It just seems like it should be more complicated than that, everything else seems kind of complicated at first
