adding glycerin?

are there any general guidelines about adding glycerin to CP soaps? i'd like to try adding some to my shaving soap recipe to aid in lather production and increase moisturizing. any help would be appreciated! thanks.

I add glycerin to my shaving soap. I use it at 10% per pound of oils, and I add into to my oils before adding my lye water.

I don't add extra glycerin to my CP shaving soaps since the soaps make their own glycerin.
