I'm pretty new at making soap and have made 2 different batches of soap. One with Lard and the other with Extra Virgin Olive Oil. They were both basic recipes (just the oil/water/lye mixture). I didn't cover them when I poured them into molds and got some soda ash on the top (which I was able to wipe off). The question is, would I be able to use saran wrap to cover the top of the molds? or should I look for something more durable?

Hello, The saran wrap will help alot to keep the ash off the top. I would still put a towel or something over the top as well.
