Hmm...I just noticed a certain intoxicating theme to my soap making these past few weeks after posting these pics. I want to assure everyone that most of the beverages went into the soaps.

those look really nice! i love the theme too! now yo need to make some Jack Daniel's soap to go with it! :D

Thanks ladies!

The theme was unintentional. I didn't realize it until I posted the pics. The orange blossom soap is the same recipe as the vodka soap except I left out the vodka, cranberry and salt. I decided I wanted a comparison soap for this recipe. Of course, I forgot I wanted to compare them and ended adding some whipping cream to it.

I should have taken another picture of the wine soap. The color has lightened up and it looks better now. I can see the purple and reddish pink colors in it.

I don't have any Jack. :( There was a discussion about making soap with JD awhile back. I think the person said it didn't work too well.

Thanks everyone! :D

I'd still like to get some pretty swirls but I'm happy with the way these soaps turned out. Also, I have to correct myself because I forgot that I used coconut milk in the Orange Blossom not whipping cream.

eta: I forgot to mention if anyone tries vodka, it accelerates fast (like a marsupial  ) even after the alcohol is simmered off.

Very nice theme and creative. And Its more than OK if you sampled before adding to the soap. LOL

Hazel- those are great! I love the little hearts :) What did you color them with?

Thanks ladies!

I colored them with tangerine pop mica, Queen Kathryn mica and mermaid's gold. It was supposed to have been a swirl but as usual, I messed up. However, the combination ended up being a pretty coral color so I can live with it.

Also, I think the Sex on the Beach has a slight cinnamon scent so I'm going to tell everyone they're Red Hots.

I wouldn't have thought of doing the little hearts if I hadn't seen another soaper make salt bar embeds. I thought it was cool looking so I plan on embedding these into a round soap. I'll have to post pics when I get them done.

Oh yeah! That would be great! I'm so tired of the cold and the ice. Fortunately, it's supposed to warm up this week. I'm sooo ready for spring. Although I shouldn't complain since other parts of the country were hit worse than here.

I know you guys got hit hard this year. We complained because it got just below freezing. It's 9:30 am and already 60-something degrees. We went from winter to spring overnight. Now, to go daydream about that Bahamas trip!

All of them look wonderful! But I LOVE the Orange Blossom. The hearts are cute also! Great job! :D

Thanks MsDee and Amanda -

Still can't get a decent swirl but I do like the colors. It will interesting to try the hearts as embeds. I've never done CP embeds so I hope it will turn out okay.

JackiK -

It's supposed to get up to 60 later this week. Of course, I'm excited because most of the ice has melted already and the warmer temp should take care of the rest. :D
