85 Year Old Bar

Picked this bar of Grandpa's Wonder Soap up this summer at the area's largest antique show. The box was in very good condition and the bar is in beautiful shape. It's a pine tar bar. Best I can ascertain it is pre 1928 as the company, Beaver Soap Company, changed names in 28' so the inscription on the bar would put it prior to that.

Bar is hard as a stone but still has some tacky spots from the pine tar.

I'm loving the design of that soap. Would love to make soaps that are shaped and stamped like that.

Love the box! I took pictures of very old soap used in the Civil War in Gettysburg and Valley Forge, PA. The bars are definitely not as nice looking as yours.
