I made some Independence Day M&P soaps for all the American soapers out there.

Fragranced with cotton candy, and cinnamon sugar.

I used carmine pigment dispersion from Aussie Soap Supplies. I think their colours come from Brambleberry. You have to use clear base for red, because the slightest amount of white in the soap turns the red pink. It is a really red red colour, isn't it.

Wow! That looks great and it sounds like it smells yummy. Thanks for sharing the pic.

You did an excellent job on getting the layers so straight. :D

I'm rather embarassed by all the praise for these soaps. They were a last minute decision, and made in a hurry. I used a milk carton for a mould, 90 odd grams each colour, then I cut it down the middle with a fish filleting knife, and bevelled the bars with a vege peeler. I have heaps of moulds, a fancy cutter, and a beveller my son made, but used none of them, so these soaps were really "roughing it" as far as soapmaking techniques go. Thankyou everyone for you positive comments.

* "your" positive comments. :wink:

You shouldn't feel embarrassed. I think it shows a great deal of creativity in how you did it especially since you said it was a last minute decision.
