On the left, Christmas Morning. A mixture of essential and fragrance oils that I came up with that actually smells like Christmas and isn't a cheap candle/headache inducing scent.

Bottom middle is a tallow based shaving soap with clove fragrance. Excellent lather after 1 week but it does have a bite when shaving. Couldn't wait for it to cure!

Right is Cinnamon and Clove. Always a winner winner chicken dinner.

Cut these all with a 20 bar at once soap cutter I built. Wow, that that bad boy takes a 30 minute task and makes it take 5. Very worth the money and time it took to build.

So a couple questions. For my round bars of soap, I am having a LOT of difficulty getting them out of the tubes. I have tried everything from mineral oil, petroleum jelly, heating the tube, freezing the tube, squishing and flexing the tube but each and every time I try it the soap is always a bear to get out and I've almost decided that it's not even worth it. The shaving soap took me almost 45 minutes to get out of the tube. Anyone have any tips as far as round tube molds go?

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I've never used a tube but I wanted to tell you your soaps look great. How did you get the circles in the Christmas Morning?

Tubes. Well, technically pipe. Make soap in those. Then remove. Then put in new soap.

I've had the same issues with tubes (pvc pipe). The solution? line with freezer paper and the slip out easy as you please :)
Edited to add: Beautiful soaps, congratulations!

Thanks for telling me. One of these days I'd like to attempt a batch with circles. It would be fun to do a polka dot soap for my nieces.

i love the colors.

i think i'll try a pipe now that someone mentioned freezer paper. i just never wanted to deal with the sticking.

do you use oils for the cinnamon and clove, infused base oils? i use infused olive oil for my cinnamon and clove soap. it's my favorite :)

I use powdered cinnamon (for scrubblies) and a wee bit of cinnamon FO.

Good job! I use PVC molds for my round soaps. The go in the freezer overnight. The next day, I run hot water over the outside, then push the soap out with a soup/veggie can.

Hi, I can help with that.

We have 3" round, 2" round, and 1" diameters.
Round loaves that come apart in two pieces. You never have to push again. Good for cp and mp.

Lorie,

I saw those on your site and really liked them. But I must behave for awhile and try to stay in budget. Although, I'm really looking forward to receiving the ones I've already ordered from you. :D
