Me and a friend managed to make two batches of soap at once. It was nuts!

The first one has a base of lemon juice with lemon balm leaves and honey added at trace. Scented with grapefruit and sweet orange

The second one is a beer base, scented with pine, cedar, bergamot, and a little bit of liquid smoke :) I wanted it to smell like camping.

I will probably test them in a couple days. Pretty excited!

Congratulations! Your soap sounds interesting. You do realize they won't be at their best in only a couple of days. You might want to wait a little longer before testing them.

Although, I have to confess I used to have to test mine after only a few days. It was so hard to be patient when I first started making soap. Just make sure they aren't still zapping when you test them.

Don't forget to post pics!

Congratulations on your first batches!

Did you use lemon juice in place of all of your water in the first one? The reason I ask is that the acidity of the lemon might neutralize some of your lye, leading to a softer soap. If you only used a small amount, it probably won't make a difference. If you used a lot, the consistency may be different than the beer soap.

Would love to see pictures after you cut!
