Here are my first two attempts at soap making....

Lovely! I'm impressed. I would have assumed you had been making soap for quite awhile if you hadn't said these were your first batches.

You could warm the mold before pouring the soap and then wrap it in a towel or blanket. You just want to make sure the FO you're using doesn't increase the heat in the batch and cause the loaf to over heat. I don't know what temp you soap at but making sure the temp is a little higher may also help with ensuring full gel. I've also put a mold on top of a heating pad, put a piece of cardboard over it and then covered with a towel to help warm the soap so it would gel. You can also turn your oven on to about 170F until it warms, put the soap in, turn off the heat and then leave the soap in until the oven cools. Search for "CPOP" or "oven" and you'll find discussions about the different ways people have used for this method.
