My second batch of soap that I made was
Honey Oatmeal Milk soap.
80% Olive
10% Canola
10% Coconut
Normal 38% water to oil.
I added 1/3 volume of milk powder to 1/3 water saved from the water volume. Added to oil then added lye/water mix. The soap didn't trace after 10-30 mins. So I hot processed it, I got trace quickly then added oatmeal, once I added honey temp went up pretty quickly I poured it into the mould and the soap seperated. I then stick blended it in the mould I was using big stainless steel mould.
After about 3 weeks the soap remains soft, after using it it's still soft and moist after 24 hours. I am concerned about the hygiene bacteria content of the soap that doesn't dry up.
But it's a lovely creamy lather.
