Try ruby red from the Conservatorie...although they are OOS right now.

Forgot to add that sugars in any form will boost lather (as they others said)...whether they be from milks, or sugars/honey...they will also accel and heat up so adjust your method as necessary.

Ditto the hard water issue. Our is the worst hard water ever. I really upped my coconut, but also upped my SF and get great lather/bubbles and a mild soap in our hard water. Tis true that soapcalc does not take into consideration the SF. Your bubbling oil choices are CO, PKO or babassu...

Be careful with those metal caps on your soap. Me thinks DOS is around the corner ...soap + metal not good... Very creative idea though lol!

I much prefer micas over oxides...just my personal preference as I have trouble getting the oxides to fully blend. TKB usually lists if their micas are soap stable, but I haven't always found those predictions true. Same as The Conservatorie. Always look at the ingredients in the mica...the...

TD will lighten the disc but not stop it. If I want to use color, I pull some batter, leave it unscented, color it, then swirl it into the batch. Another trick is to chunk up or shred some colored soap from a previous batch and add that into the discoloring batch.

I love and have 7 silicone lined log molds. 4 from Bebe Collection and 3 of the narrow/taller molds from Woodfields. All, very good molds. I started by pouring into anything that looked like it would hold soap lol! Then invested in some inexpensive silicone log molds that Brambleberry was...

Just my two cents here, but I think it's really important to build in labor costs from the get go if you are serious about selling. It's much better to be able to lower your prices later, than have to raise them...you already have ingredient cost increases to deal with every year...much better...
