    Rice water soaping enquiry

Hiyo, I think that one of my major concern is that I did ice cube the rice water. So the lye temperature went up to 170degree before going back to room temperature... so not sure if the soap quality will be compromise as the high temperature might have altered the properties of the rice water...

    Rice water soaping enquiry

Hi, Did you consider the temperature for this? It could be... But I don’t know... That is why I am thinking if a lower temperature handling method to be used so that the starch content will not be affected by high temperature when mix with lye...

Recommendation for Butters suppliers who shipped overseas

This is kind of sad, I ordered a batch of Butters from Butters and Bars in November and these precious still haven't reach me. I am planning to get a new batch. Is there any recommendation for sellers for butters that shipped overseas to Singapore?

Question on error in oil used

This soap will be very moisturising due to the high amount of cocoa butter. I don't think this will be garbage either. I have a friend who use this much of cocoa butter in her soaps and the effect is lovely.

    Milk soap went moldy....

I use the wheatgerm oil here. I add the wheatgerm oil to my whole batch of other oil before adding in the lye. I don't usually add in oil to the soap mixture after mixing/tracing. I am bad at that and thus not willing to risk that I am not able to mix in the oil at trace.

    Milk soap went moldy....

Actually with the current formula, I won't expect my superfat to be more than 10% here. This is a repeated formula and I have no issue previously. Thus, I was rather shock to see this batch ending up like that. I usually cure for 2 months before wrapping up but for this batch, it was cured...

    Milk soap went moldy....

I did a CP here. The parts with those funny spots and colour do have a weird smell. So I cut away those parts and check again. The soap without the spots and colour still smell okay.

    Soap Loaf Trademark

Hi Fellow Soapies, I have seen a petition online to challenge the Soap Loaf Trademark. Not too sure where though. Have any other seen it? Will most of you here be affected? It seems to me that the intention is to monopolise the market
