I finally ordered some supplies to make my first batch of cold process soap (have done melt and pour previously). I bought a few containers from the Dollar Tree to use as molds and was wondering if it is absolutely neccesary to have to line them? Is lining the molds just for an easier release...

I bought some Joy Wax from NG to use with votives. I used wick pins and was unable to get them out and had to use a hammer to get them out. Any ideas on using this type of wax? I only had to pour once which was nice. :cry:

I am wondering if it is possible to make the pretty peak tops on melt and pour? The cold process soaps look so pretty with the lovely top peaks. Any help would be appreciated. And, Happy New Year!!

I'm so happy to have found this forum. I have been reading and watching facebook posts and youtube videos for about a month now. I finally ordered a melt and pour "kit" and the soap turned out to be very nice. My goal is to give cold process a try at some point!! I do have a question...
