    Digital Scale Accuracy

I am having a heck of a time finding a bigger one that measures that precise. The one I have now is a pocket scale. All of the bigger ones I have seen only go as precise as 1g or .01oz. And the search continues! :)

    Digital Scale Accuracy

I have made three batches of soap thus far and the scale I have works o.k. because they have been relatively small batches. However, it is a small scale and I would like something bigger. The scale I have now measures to the .1 gram. I am having trouble finding a bigger scale that is as...

Goat's milk, oatmeal, and honey soap

THANKS Thank you!! I will do that. So, if I leave 2oz of water for the goats milk, I would replace it with 2 oz of goat's milk after cooking. Given the oils that I am using for the base, how do I superfat the soap afterwords. Should I use Castor Oil or Olive Oil?

Or there would be spots of pink on one bar and then nothing on another bar. Not exactly sure how to do the zap test. Would the entire bar zap you or would only...

    Having trouble testing soap

I just used some phenol drops on the soap my wife and I made a few days ago. I gut a bar in half and put a few drops on it and another bar of soap. One spot turned dark pink immediately. Other spots didn't change at all and other spots are a light pink. I am assuming I didn't stir completely...

Nope. I didn't use any colorant. I used brewed coffee, lye, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, olive oil and shea butter.

Here is a pic that I took. I'll try to take more later. Not exactly sure what went wrong. Maybe we left it in the crock pot too long? Too much coffee? Uploaded with ImageShack.us
