I am having a heck of a time finding a bigger one that measures that precise. The one I have now is a pocket scale. All of the bigger ones I have seen only go as precise as 1g or .01oz. And the search continues! :)

I think the liquid that you see is the pam my wife insisted we spray the mold with. lol.. My only problem I am having now is I did phenol drops and there are spots that are pink and spots that are clear on the same bar. It's weird.

My main concern wasn't the the degree of pink. My concern was that There were spots of pink on one bar and then nothing on the same bar. I just used some phenol drops on the soap my wife and I made a few days ago. I gut a bar in half and put a few drops on it and another bar of soap. One spot turned dark pink immediately. Other spots didn't change at all and other spots are a light pink. I am assuming I didn't stir completely...

Nope. I didn't use any colorant. I used brewed coffee, lye, coconut oil, palm oil, castor oil, olive oil and shea butter.

What can cause soap to turn gray like that?

Not sure if it zaps.. A little weary of putting tongue to it..
