Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

There’s too many old links (as in links to old versions of the tool) in this thread. I’m going to start a fresh thread to clear things up. Thanks everyone. The new thread is here: Free Tool - Soap and Candle Making Spreadsheet

Free Tool - Soap and Candle Making Excel Spreadsheet

Hi Folks, I've posted this before but I've updated the tool and I can't edit old posts to remove links to old versions. So, I'm starting this new thread and I'll include a link to my DropBox folder for downloads. That way the same link will work for any subsequent versions I upload. What does...

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Thanks for the prayers. Always welcome. 👍 I'm going to tell you a story as a cautionary tale. About a year ago I went to my GP for a routine blood test (I have type 2 diabetes). He looked at the results and said my cholesterol was high and I should be on a statin. As I'd tried a statin years...

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Hi Folks, It has been a while since I've given the crafty side of myself any time or love. I've been dealing with a few health issues but they seem to be resolved now. In the meantime, I've found some time to add a little polish to this soap-designer/soap-making/candle-making tool of mine. If...

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Hi Folks, I've not received any feedback on whether sharing this with iCloud is an effective way to do things. So, I'll share it again/also with Dropbox and perhaps that will be better? Let me know if either is better for you. Dropbox LINK Cheers, Grant

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

I haven't tried sharing this file this way before (through iCloud) so I'm not certain how it works for Windows users. Hopefully it will be plain sailing but I'd be grateful for feedback if anyone has trouble. I have some other options (Dropbox, OneDrive or even Google Drive) if iCloud isn't...

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Hi @AwkwardAlpha, I've updated to v1.5 and (hopefully) I've unlocked all the necessary cells. Enjoy. Cheers, Grant PS. FWIW, the tool is Excel based and so will run on Windows and Mac - as long as you enable macros. Always good to hear from another Mac user though. :)

Oops! It's not meant to be protected. I'll have a look at that as soon as I can. Sorry. (I'm just heading out to a funeral).

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Here’s what might be a fun project for those amongst us with functioning imaginations; come up with a better name for this tool. “Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet Tool” might be descriptive but it’s a bit unwieldy.

Google Sheet alternative to Craftybase or Soapmaker Pro

Hi @Vicki C, We are an Apple centric house - although I was a Windows user at work. The office had IT staff available for when things, inevitably, went wrong. Having to do my own support at home led me to using Macs and other Apple products. Mostly, it just works.:) Microsoft’s Office products...

Materials & Inventory Tracking methods (Software)

Hi Everyone, Over on another thread I got sidetracked and started thinking about the problem of tracking materials inventory and stock for sales inventory. My ideal software would allow me to enter my materials stock as I purchase it and deplete it automagically as I make batches depending on...

Google Sheet alternative to Craftybase or Soapmaker Pro

Hi Becky1024, I have given this some thought in the past. My ideal program would allow me to enter my materials stock as I purchase it and deplete it automagically as I make batches depending on the recipe/batch size I choose. It would then add the resulting stock (e.g. Soaps) to my inventory...

Google Sheet alternative to Craftybase or Soapmaker Pro

Hi @Becky1024, I’m not familiar with Wix but there may be a way to access it as a database from Excel using Power Query. If you’re using Excel anyway it might be worth looking into? I’m curious about your stock issue. When you say “stock” are you referring to inventory, materials or both? I use...

Soap Designer, Candle, Melts and Bombs Spreadsheet (Free Tool)

Greetings from Australia, Ages ago I uploaded an early version of a spreadsheet I use for designing and making soaps. I've continued to refine it and have added other features. Specifically, I've integrated other spreadsheets I use for making Candles, Soy Melts, Bath Bombs and Shower Steamers...

Google Sheet alternative to Craftybase or Soapmaker Pro

I have given inventory control some thought but a flat file database, like Excel, isn’t really the best tool for that job. That would be a relational database and that’s a level of complexity beyond my interest. There’s also the cost/complexity of creating runtime versions so users can use it...
