i just used alkanet root powder for the first time trying to make a lavender soap. i infused 1tsp ppo with my hard oils as they were melting. strained the oils and got a nice but not very deep burgundy color. when i mixed in the lye my soap turned a bright blue/green! really hard to imagine how...
