    Soap base for shampoo?

Hi all! Has anyone tried using a soap base melt and pour for shampoo bars? I've been using Stephenson shampoo base, but it's getting so expensive since it has to ship from the UK. I'd love to find a cheaper option, and I have a ton of Shea Butter soap base. Can I use this?

    Syndopour shampoo syndet base testing

Has anyone had any luck with the Stephenson melt and pour conditioner bars? I have had pretty bad results - it smells bad (even after adding essential oil), and whats worse, the conditioner does not work very well. I tried to sell these guys, but eventially had to figure out a different recipe...

    Melting BTMS

Hi! I'm having such a hard time melting BTMS 50 for my conditioner bars. I've been putting it in the oven for about 30 min at 200 degrees. It doesn't totally melt it, though. And I'm afraid to keep it in much longer. What do other people do to melt it?

    Lemongrass Coconut Conditioner Bar

Thanks everyone for all this help! I am going to experiment with the FCO as a sub for cranberry. Cranberry oil is just so damn expensive, and I'm trying to sell these guys, so was looking for a more sustainable option. I do LOVE cranberry oil, though.

    Lemongrass Coconut Conditioner Bar

That's a fantastic point. Do you think I could use cranberry seed oil with another essential oil, like lemongrass?

    Lemongrass Coconut Conditioner Bar

Hi everyone! I just tried Humblebees amazing recipe for Cranberry Orange conditioner bars and it's pretty amazing. I want to recreate this using different essential oils, and replace the cranberry seed oil with coconut oil, and the orange with lemongrass. Does anyone think this will work? Here...

    Stephenson Best Price

Does anyone have any tips on the best websites to purchase Stephenson melt and pour bases? I know it ships from the UK, and I'm based in the US. I recently purchased from Mystic Moments but hoping to find a better price point. Where does everyone else get Stephenson products from?

    Best Essential Oil Brands

Hi - I am new to soap making, specifically shampoo and conditioner bars. I am looking for a reasonably priced essential oil brand to purchase. Does anyone have any recommendations? It can get so expensive to keep using the small sample sets.

    Stephenson Shampoo Bar

Ugh I hope not. It's the shampoo base and was pretty expensive, so it really should have a good lather. I'll try again with less Shea butter and hope that works

    Stephenson Shampoo Bar

Hi everyone! I just made a shampoo bar using Stephenson Syndapore melt and pour, plus 10 percent Shea butter, and 2 percent coconut oil. It looks nice, but I'm not getting any lather at all. Does anyone have any advice or know what I may have done wrong? Thanks!! Kathryn
