Well worth your time to watch some videos and read some. I like Scientific Soapmaking. You don't have to do all the calculations, but good to have some general idea of the chemistry. Play with the calculators. Read some about the fatty acids.

Kevin Dunn (Scientific Soapmaking book) recommends a closed bottle. Check it is heavy enough to take the heat. I have mixed half first and let it cool before adding the second half. You can mix thoroughly by shaking. I also do this outside or in a ventilated garage.

Maybe the soap is not the same as the oil? Some of the allergy problem goes away with the reaction. Make a single oil, completely reacted soap first then add the results to other soaps or another batch of oils and lye. No super fat.
