Hello. I have kept my trap shut through all of Ceryl's woes, not that she wasn't in my prayers/positive thoughts, however, just a question (nurse here) have you and Cheryl looked int support groups based on her symptoms? Many times those groups can give suggestions on ways and where to turn next.

I agree with the lye aspect, however there is also ash lye...natural..ish, lol. I do not label any of my products as all natural. Wholesome would be a good word...? One cannot have soap without lye...melt and pour included.

Nothing in soapmaking is written in stone. There are a lot of variables. Water discount and superfat are just 2 examples, another would be altitude. I keep my superfat at 5% and have never had a bar go rancid.
