How can I prevent lavender buds from "burning" when I add them to my home made soap? I add them right at the last minute just before pouring into moulds and they turn brown and also turn the soap brown

I have made some cup cake, dolphin and heart shaped soaps today in silicone moulds. packaging in nice paper or wrapping with a band of cloth is fine for bars of soap but not for unusual shapes. Does anyone have any ideas for packing these soaps so they can be seen, yet still be "aired" so...
