As a big fan of this forum, I love to soap with lard…. But I’ve been wondering if lard affect the scent of the soap… I feel that when I use lard my soaps lost lots of the fragrance/EO.

Hi, Good info. I just started making and using shampoo bars.... I bought my recipe from Etsy. I love how my hair looks and feels, but; my scalp has started to itch.... Any idea if any of the (common) surfactants used for shampoo bars are prompt cause itching?

Hi, Steph, when you say that you add your essential oils to your heated oils AND then, your fragrance oils at light trace..... Do you mean you add both , like mix them? EO and FO . Just trying to learn whatever helps me to make my soaps more aromatic... thanks

Not In a plain simple soap.. Plus it depends what do you mean by color distortion.... what i mean .... a not -white soap can only distortion the results when we are trying to achieve an specific color. Just my opinion... it might be that; my style (Soaping preferences) is more toward more...
