soap has little bumps on top...why?

I'm pretty sure they are not air bubbles because these are actually raised and defined.

soap has little bumps on top...why?

Hmm....I couldn't snap a picture today, but I can say that it looks just like a bunch of little tiny pimple bumps if that helps.....sorry to sound gross. I feel like it is a temperature issue. I usually just use wax paper lined wooden molds, and then I cover them with a sheet of wax paper...

Hi Friends, Lately some of my soap batches are ending up with little bumps all over the top of the loaves. The soap has been fine to use, but I'm not sure why all the little bumps. Anyone ever have this issue before? Thanks!

Thank you!....I actually thought today that I should try to substitute my own CP soap for the M &P, so I'm very appreciative that you confirmed that for me! About the e-wax......is there an organic natural source? I don't use emulsifiers and everything I looked at on Swiftcraftmonkey's site...

    Wrong wick?

Hang in there. Sounds like the wick may be too small for the density and width of your candle. Candle science.com sells small packs of wicks for you to sample. Good luck.

    sugar scrub cubes - beeswax?

Hi Everyone! I'm attempting to make a sugar cube scrub that does NOT have a melt and pour base. I read somewhere that Beeswax could be used as a firming agent for the cube. Does anyone have any feedback on this? Thanks! J

    Beeswax Tarts

Hi, Beeswax is good for the environment because as it burns, it emits negative ions that actually purify the air. It also burns soot and chemical free. Big dipper Wax works is a great resource to learn more about the benefits of beeswax as well as showing you some great ideas for shapes...

    Beeswax Tarts

Beeswax can burn uneven at times do to it's natural state so I would not suggest making tarts unless you are sure they will always be contained when burning. I love beeswax....its so good for the environment!

    Olive oil soap need help

So.....just to be sure I understood you correctly, whatever the lye/water amount is that soap calc gives, I use this, and I am only using the amount of oils that I plugged in (2.7lbs) and don't have to add anything extra. Therefore, the 5% was calculated in with the 2.7lbs when they gave me...

Thanks! I will just rinse everything in the yard. How about superfatting calculations? I'm not adding extra oil at trace, but would like to just have everything set from the initial oil measurements. If I'm on soapcalc.com, and I plug in the full amount of oil I'm using - say 2.7lbs (I...
