    There is a local place that sells oils for soap making. I already buy my lye there (it's really the only place I can get it locally that I know of) so I thought I would try the oils too. They advertise on their website that 7 lbs of olive oil is approximately 1 gallon. I didn't think about it...

    OK I recombined the batch ... and I'll put in an additional 4 oz coconut oil to accommodate the lye. It's gonna be an interesting scent if it survives the rebatch - vanilla grapefruit. LOL Thanks for the help!
