    It's safe...it can be dangerous if ingested in large quantities. Up to few grams it can have therapeutic value on certain conditions...so even if he ate half of your bar of soap he would be safe...well from castor oil anyway :wink: On the skin,on the other hand, it's fantastic Castor oil...

    CP soap curing temperature during winter period

    OK,so what's the optimal and lowest cure room temperature that doesn't inhibit the curing process? Do sub zero temperatures damage the soap when the water inside gets cristalized? At what temperature do you cure your CP soap during cold months? experiences anyone?

    Bitter almond EO would be the way to go,but i would be careful when using it. Bitter almonds have hydrogen cyanide and benzaldehyde so maybe a FO would be safest choice...

    Just a thought You could try some other oil that doesn't have its own strong scent,like soybean or sunflower. If the color worries you, you could try some titanium dioxide

    Thanks...no swirls. I split the batch in two parts then colour it. Afterwards i pour it in a square mold one layer at a time with layers overlapping only in the middle.Bout 1 inch or so. It needs to be a little thicker so the bottom layer doesnt get moved to the side when pouring the top one...

    Liquid Castille

    Could somebody tell me what's the purity of KOH you use? I could only find 85% pure(i think the rest is H2O) and i buy that stuff from a pharmaceutical supplier,so I guess that's the purest KOH I can find. Do i put like 14% more or what? Thanks
