I'm personally finding olive drying as my skin ages (notice that *I'm* not aging - it is! lol) I've started using canola as a replacement. One of the reasons I started soaping was family allergies - the big one being nut allergies. I do not use almond oil in anything!

So, are you sure it's DOS? Is it smelly/stinky? I wonder if it's just not color transfer from the brown paper you're using to wrap the soaps in. I loosely cover my curing soaps with colorless waxed paper and it works a dream. Also, do you mean rosemary oleoresin extract instead of rosemary...

I'm not sure what it was! lol I kept stick blending past 'emulsion' until the stick blender couldn't (on the next batch) and it was just perfect! I *think* it was oils, but since I boiled it over we'll never know....

Well, I was a lame brain and yes it softened up enough. BUT - what I did was actually set the pan on the stove to warm up and walked away, only to have the hubby yell at me that I had a giant mess! LOL Yep, it had all bubbled over and started smoking. It was all over the stove! Easy to clean...

@Zany_in_CO - too funny! Right after you posted your blog (or I read it, actually) I looked at my recipe and the measurements are almost exactly the same, and yes, I carefully weighed everything. Sooo....see, this is my problem - I keep thinking emulsification - like in CP. I am going to warm...

I was actually trying NOT to bash the company. We are all human and we all make mistakes. I was just concerned that this (IMHO) was such a BIG mistake and I was not getting any answers. I think Katie is awesome on Youtube. (but, I probably won't buy from her again)

@shunt2011 I totally agree... I also think it's suspect that someone has a 'Testimonial' page that they then censor themselves... That should be a big red-flag to everyone! Even Brambleberry lets the negative reviews on products stand, for the most part that I've seen.

Well, you're right. I needn't make such a big deal about it and honestly, TheGecko is right.... It was Royalty Soaps who mislabeled.... *shrugs*

So, I actually *did* write a testimonial and for whatever reason - that got their attention. They've refunded my money. Oh, they also stated the web site was correct, but no explanation for why the jar of lotion was not correct. *shrugs*

I live in Phoenix, also, and I never store my masterbatched lye in the garage - way to hot! Especially THIS summer where the temps were so far over 100! Too much evaporation and heat.
