    Tomato blossom end rot

Tomatoes love long deep waterings. Pot are difficult because once they dry out it’s harder to get them to hold water again. Water will usually run down the side of the pot and out the drainage holes. If it were me I’d pick off all the green tomatoes that are showing rot, no use having the plant...

    Gardening Anyone?

Well that just sucks. I spend half my day taking orders and we normally don’t open until the beginning of May and normally not being able to safely plant until the end of May. To those in the same boat as not being able to find veggie seeds here’s some tips: Check your fridge/counter Tomatoes...

You can try calling your favourite garden centre. Here garden centres are closed to the public but we are allowed to take phone orders or online orders if they have a website. Some offer delivery to you now or we are allowed to do contactless pick up.

    SCM's Conditioner Bar Recipe

Have you checked out humblebee and me recipe, she based hers off of SCM. I didn’t have the certimonium chloride so I subbed that with 50:50 honeyquat and dimethicone. So far I like it, I can even comb my hair right out of the shower.

    Mixing lye outside

I used to mix my lye water outside in the winter too. Also a Canadian ;) . Safety first so make sure your container has a handle, and your path is clear. So all the shoes and boots out of your path and put away any animals that want to come in and out with you. I stuck my water container in the...

    Dissolving lye beads

First off dump that batch. You need to find a soap calculator and input your oils and batch size. The how to is in the beginners section. Lye goes into the water, when cooled and/or clear that mixture goes into your oils. It does get easier and you be making fantastic soap in no time.

    Kitchen Scale VS Measuring Cups

Honestly either change the batteries in your scale and re calibrate, or get another scale. Not to be rude but you should measure by weight to give yourself accuracy. Save the measuring cups for baking.

    Question for Colors & Molds

I’ve never had a true match with micas, usually close. Can’t comment on BB since I’ve never used them. Yellows and purples are hit and misses for me. As for your moulds once the soap is firm you can remove them 18-24hrs usually. Then you should let the cure for 4-6 weeks.

What fragrance makes you think of the ‘90’s?

80’s for me would be scratch n’ sniff stickers, Me. Sketch markers and the strawberry shortcake dolls. 90’s god awful exclamation perfume, then the Body Shops fizzy peach or anything vanilla

I’m so happy my oldest isn’t on this forum or else he’d be researching how to make jalapeño ice cream. But he’d probably try it with Carolina reapers
