Thank you! Thank you all for your support! Last night I rebatched the dented soap and and here are the results

I have re batched Lye 297 grams and 719 grams water. The alcohol melts the soap. Not using glycol or eta to make transparent or translucent soap.

I actually do hot process then use the propylenglycol to make the soap fluid and 350grams of 96%ethanol so as to melt and then pour the liquid soap into my silicone molds.

Castor oil 150 grams Coconut oil 450 grams Crisco 337 grams Palm oil (hydrogenated) 690 grams Stearic Acid 225 grams Soybean oul (hydrogensted) 337 grams Salt 150 grams Sugar 350 grams Water 125 grams Propilene glycol 450 grams

719 grams of water, 297 grams of lye 3189 grams of oils and other ingredients

Has anyone experienced this problem? Soap comes out of the mold without the dent and 3 to 5 days later the soap develops this.

I contacted them but they are saying they have a 30 day return policy. I purchased the molds in November 2018

It comes out of the mold looking like that. I use a 12 cavity rectangle shape silicone mold. I thought it was ash so I thoroughly cleaned the molds. I concluded it was a transfer from the mold. The problem is I purchased 10 of these molds and the soap comes out like that from all of them.

The color of the stain is white. The color of the mold is blue. The molds have the patterns. I can see it once I take the soap out of the mold.

What ingredient or additive is used to make suspending soap base?

Hi Earlene! I noticed the smell during cooking and after. My oils were fresh. Just purchased them. I am going to try one more time but this time with a smaller amount of oils. I am going to keep an eye on temperatures. That might be the problem. Thanks for your prompt reply!!

Thank you Arimara, you are right. I will try making a 1lb batch. I did use a soap calculator and it came out with a 45% conditioning, 59% bubbles, 52% hardness, 52% cleaning, 49% persistence, 57% drying and a 58% solubility factors. I learned my lesson. Thanks again!

Thank you all for your answers! what I meant for soda is sodium hydroxide. I was trying to make a big batch (14 to 15 - 4 oz soap bars) And yes, I was trying to make transparent or translucent hp soap.
