Please help in Palmolien and canola oil recipe

@KiwiMoose Just curious. Why would palm oil be better than palm olein in soap? My experience with both does not support that at all. I would pick palm olein over palm oil for performance, fluidity for swirling and the general feel of the soap.

Where to get the best EOs?

I like Liberty Naturals too, they are my go to after New Directions Aromatics. They have greater selections than NDA and are sometimes cheaper for some oils. However, no supplier can match the quality of NDA’s Patchouli, Cedarwood and Lavender. ETA: Disclaimer: This is my opinion having...

Haunted Forest Plant Therapy Blend for soap

Shop around but I have found great prices at Liberty Naturals. I bought 5lbs of Cedarwood Himalayan EO last year for about $50, but of course it’s a bit more now. https://libertynatural.com/ I will admit their website is a bit dated and you won’t know what shipping is until they send you an...

LotionPro 165/Simusol 165/Glyceryl Stearate and Peg 100 Emulsifier at WSP.

It behaves similarly during production in that you follow the same process as you would using the E-Wax. (I should note that I have never used E-Wax, but I started lotion making with Polawax, which I believe is similar to E-Wax even though the INCI are different.) The end result, though, is...

LotionPro 165/Simusol 165/Glyceryl Stearate and Peg 100 Emulsifier at WSP.

I am too lazy to start a new thread about this, but if you use Soft and Silky Emulsifying wax (Cetearyl Alcohol and Ceteareth 20), Essential Lab has it at about $7 per pound as opposed to $17 per pound from WSP. This is not discounting shipping, of course...

LotionPro 165/Simusol 165/Glyceryl Stearate and Peg 100 Emulsifier at WSP.

Hello all, This is the best price I have found this emulsifier for the quantity I stock. https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/products/glyceryl-stearate-self-emulsifying-blend.aspx I use a massive amount of this emulsifier for cream as a 2000g with 30% oil phase batch only last about 4 weeks...

    Surfactants...

Yes, citric acid would work but I am partial to lactic acid for the added skin benefits.

    Surfactants...

Coco Glucoside does add a good amount of bubbles, this is one of the reasons it is used for bubble bath. However, pay attention to your PH as it has high pH, and you won't be able to use some preservatives without dropping the pH. Something to also consider if you are trying to formulate a...

Does anyone have recommendations for fragrance oils that stick from FNWL? I have the Dandelions and Bamboo Chypre fragrance oils from them based on recommendations from @BWt and they stick great. They currently have 20% off everything and I have points I need to spend with them as well so...

    Preservative for tallow balm?

I think Phenoxyethanol would work @Obsidian

    Which Auson pine tar?

I love the Auson brand. I still have half of the 3 litres of the Dalbrand Tratjara (Dale Burned Wood Tar) that I bought 3 years ago.

New to Soapmaking: Will this recipe work?

Replace the Palm oil with Shea and Cocoa butters. 30% Shea 10% Cocoa Butter 20% Coconut Oil 40% Rice bran oil make a nice soap. Reduce superfat to 2% because of the butters. Add teaspoon of sugar per 500g, I think this recipe is hard enough to take a tablespoon per 500g but I would start with...

    Fragrance Packaging, So Different

Some suppliers’ label are atrocious. I am not sure how Brambleberry is still getting away with their shoddy label. I have some FOs that the label had worn off. You still have to put your own label or else a few months later, you will be guessing what FO is in what bottle. With the amount of...

Trade Fragrance oil for Knitted Washcloth

I don’t know much about knitting but whatever method that takes less time is better. I tried knitting with a knitting pin, knitted a little piece and it went downhill from there. I used the ones I got for both dishes and bathing. I used it every 3 days as a body exfoliator.

Oh wow! Thank you! The one in the picture is 10inches by 12inches. Any yarn is fine. The offer for the FO still stands regardless. As a soaper, you can never have too many FOs!
