So do you include the flaxseed gel as part of the water of the recipe?

    Too much spearmint EO

Thank you. My mistake, I did mean grams not ml. I didn't use the EO calculator previously but will from now on. I had used the soap myself. I didn't notice any issue with sensitivity

    Too much spearmint EO

I have a previous soap that I had added too much spearmint EO - like 6 or 8gr in 300 gr oils in my soap batch. I am now aware that spearmint EO should be used at a wayyyy lower concentration. If it sits for a while, can it be used or should I grate it and use it in small amounts in other soaps?

    Browsing soap pics

Oh :( I wish there was an app to take a picture of a soap design that you like and it would show you how to pour it. Thanks!

    Browsing soap pics

I love this design. Did you alternating colors, pouring on the side of the mold? Did you cut it differently to get that design. Such a natural looking design.

Himalayan rhubarb root and indigo or woad for purple

I was wondering if anyone has tried to mix blue/red natural colorants to make purple. I tried rhubarb/indigo and madder/indigo but as they cured, the color changed. I think the madder/indigo could work if i added more indigo. It was more red than purple. I haven't tried mixing with woad...

Mixing botanicals to get green and purple

Due to my excitement, I unmolded these too early so they did get quite a bit of ash on them. They don't look as nice because I rinsed them to try to get the ash off. I also cut the bottom off to see what the color looks like inside and the colors are still nice. I will definitely try these...

Mixing botanicals to get green and purple

I just experimented with different botanicals using Indigo root as the "blue". Top left to right. (purple)Indigo/madder root powder, (green) indigo/gold brazilian clay. Bottom left to right. (green) indigo/annatto oil, (purple) indigo/himalayan rhubarb root oil. I unmolded when the soap was a...

Did the green color fade yet in that soap?

    Indigo powder is green?

I just made a soap with the green indigo tinctoria leaf with act charcoal layer. I hope it stays this color green and doesn't fade. It is a lovely shade of green that I have never been able to get before that actually lasted and didn't fade.

    How to get this design?

Yes and its that horizontal, imperfect minimalist layer that I love so much. That sounds good. Do you think it matters on where I start to pour the ITP layer, like on the side or from the front of the mold?

    How to get this design?

This is not my soap but I love the simple design. Do you think it is just a little color in a pot and poured on the side of the mold???

alternate ways to cut a soap loaf

Has anyone tried different ways of cutting your soap with different soap pouring designs? I would love to see videos of how to get different looks by cutting a soap loaf in a different direction etc.

    Preventing ash in plastic molds

Thanks. I think my biggest problem was unmolding too quickly. I will definitely try again with all of the suggestions😀. Much appreciated!
